Essential Functions:
HR Operations & Support
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment logistics, including interview coordination, job fairs, and new hire onboarding.
- Assist with new hire orientation facilitation and partner with Training & Development to support employee learning initiatives.
- Provide assistance with HRIS (UKG) functions such as password resets, data updates, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and assist with daily operations, including scheduling, supply management, and meeting coordination.
- Represent HR at weekly property operations meetings and communicate key updates to leadership and staff.
Team Member Engagement
- Plan, execute, and oversee team member engagement initiatives across JACK Cleveland Casino, collaborating with JACK Thistledown Racino to ensure alignment, including holiday celebrations, town halls, team rallies, and cultural events.
- Lead engagement and recognition programs at JACK Cleveland Casino (e.g., JACK Royalty Rewards, service milestones, and birthdays).
- Collaborate with Thistledown Racino to share resources, communication strategies, and best practices that enhance team member engagement and culture.
- Support JACK Cares and community involvement initiatives, ensuring team member participation and awareness.
- Gather team member feedback and recommend strategies to strengthen engagement and the overall employee experience.
- Serve as a key project manager for engagement activities, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Internal Communications
- Develop and manage internal communications for JACK properties, including event announcements, leadership updates, memos, newsletters, and culture campaigns.
- Collaborate with HR and PR leadership to deliver timely, consistent, and brand-aligned messages to all team members across both properties.
- Create and execute communication plans for company initiatives, ensuring they reflect JACK’s strategic priorities, values, and tone.
- Maintain brand standards across all internal channels — including email, intranet, communication boards, and internal social platforms.
- Provide editorial oversight to ensure accuracy, clarity, and professionalism in all messaging.
- Support external communication efforts as needed to promote the brand and community involvement initiatives.

- Flexibility to work a variety of hours
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to quickly learn other programs
Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree in Communications and/or Marketing or equivalent experience
- Must be 21 years of age.
