Class A Local Route Delivery Driver - $33.50 hr - (Foodservice experience required)

• Hourly rate is $33.50 with Overtime after 40 hours.($25 hr while training, estimated 1-2 weeks)

We are looking for qualified CDL Class A local delivery drivers to join our family owned and operated company. This position will be delivering product to local restaurants in the Kansas City area and unloading product and delivering into selected locations in the restaurant.

We are looking for drivers who are honest, on-time and reliable. This position would require the employee have a current Class A CDL license with 1 year of Class A CDL driving experience preferred, and ready to assist in various local routes.

A strong work ethic, good driving record, ability to lift and move 20-80 lbs, the ability to run a 2 wheel dolly is required, being as this route has product contact.

This position is a full-time position would need to be flexible with a Monday-Saturday schedule.

Pay for CDL Drivers:

Competitive hourly rate with safety bonus and various other incentives. Overtime after 40 hours and case and safety bonus.

Safe Driving Bonus for CDL Drivers:

Local drivers are eligible to earn up to an additional $200 per month for driving safely with no violations.

The Class A Local Route Driver will be responsible for effectively delivering the product accurately, safely, on time and with a professional attitude. Develops good relationships with all driver associates, and customers complies with all company policies with responsibility for ensuring all DOT, local, state, federal regulations are followed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Responsible for “Delivering the right product to the right place on time safely”
• Responsible for ensuring every customer is satisfied at the conclusion of their delivery.
• Responsible for utilizing EPOD technology.
• Responsible for collecting payments from customers and following the chain of custody procedures upon route completion.
• Responsible for maintaining your HOS logs in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Responsible for daily pre trip and post trip inspections on all equipment used and report issues immediately.
• Works closely with the sales and customer service teams to solve delivery issues.
• Comply with OSHA and DOT standards.
• Acts in a stewardship capacity for the Company, works as a functional member of the team, has ability to self-direct and self-regulate work-day;
• Other duties as assigned

Placement Criteria

• Must have and maintain Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card with a minimum of 1-year CDL driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screening and background check.
• Must maintain FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance;
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.

Physical Demands

 While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is consistently required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must also be able to safely walk up and down ramps while transporting materials with a loaded two-wheel dolly. The employee must consistently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. and must be able to retrieve boxes from a height of 5½ feet.
