Introduction

THE ROLE

(Onsite 5 days a week)

The Business Partner, People and Culture role is a hands on operationally focused role that is key in partnering with management to support day to day people matters, as well as operational and functional business plans.

In this role you will be a trusted advisor enabling corporate functions and operating business units to work through and solve human resources related issues in a proactive and commercial way utilising your strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with operational and functional business leaders, coach and support them on the full HR lifecycle including performance management, goal setting and development, conduct and grievances, effective leadership, engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Provide quality, expert HR advice at both operational and strategic levels in a proactive and pragmatic way, including employee relations support by offering independent and constructive advice
  • Ensure the consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks across the business.
  • Partner with the Group WHSE Manager to help facilitate proactive initiatives in regard to workplace health, safety and wellbeing
  • Work with the leadership and management team to lead engagement surveys through Culture Amp
  • Monitor remuneration and benefits, provide advice on market competitiveness and award changes, identify remuneration anomalies, and prepare remuneration review information
  • Ensure the onboarding and engagement of new employees is facilitated and managed consistently, ensuring follow through by other supporting functions and teams is well managed and administered.
  • Provide assistance and support on ad-hoc HR projects or specific HR initiatives and contribute to HR process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

YOUR BACKROUND

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR business partnering role.
  • Strong operational HR capability across employee relations, performance management, managing conduct and grievances, engagement and culture initiatives and policy interpretation
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience in supporting managers in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
  • Well-developed judgment, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High attention to detail proactive in identifying issues and improving HR processes
