As a leading global investment management firm, AB fosters diverse perspectives and embraces innovation to help our clients navigate the uncertainty of capital markets. Through high-quality research and diversified investment services, we serve institutions, individuals, and private wealth clients in major markets worldwide. Our ambition is simple: to be our clients’ most valued asset-management partner.

Group Description:

As Manager, People Operations, you will lead a team that delivers timely, accurate, and compliant support across employee inquiries and core People processes. This role will help centralize and streamline global support by translating the needs of People teams into scalable day-to-day execution, reinforcing service standards, and driving consistent ways of working. In close partnership with People stakeholders, you will oversee daily operations, develop team capability, provide feedback on process feasibility, and support continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and the employee experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team that supports employee inquiries, key People processes, benefits and leave activities, and other employee lifecycle transactions in support of global People teams.
  • Support the implementation of centralized processes by establishing workflows, clarifying team responsibilities, and reinforcing service standards to support a scalable operation.
  • Oversee day-to-day team operations, including workload balancing and prioritization of urgent matters to support service level performance.
  • Monitor productivity, service quality, and operational performance; identify trends, gaps, and process issues, and take action to improve outcomes and reduce risk.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or sensitive employee matters, exercising sound judgment to resolve issues independently where appropriate and escalating risk, policy, or stakeholder concerns when needed.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements through quality reviews, clear expectations, and corrective action when needed.
  • Maintain standard operating procedure for key People processes to keep documentation current and aligned with process and policy changes.
  • Build team capability through ongoing coaching, training, and day-to-day guidance that reinforces accountability, consistency, and responsive service.
  • Partner with People Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, Legal and other key stakeholders to resolve cross-functional issues, improve handoffs, and support smooth execution of People processes.
  • Use data and operational insights to identify recurring issues, capacity constraints, and service trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate manual processes, improve team tools and documentation, and support the continued centralization of key People functions.
  • Support change management and process transitions by helping the team adopt new processes, tools, and service expectations in a controlled and sustainable way.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence others, and work effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong operational judgment and discretion in managing sensitive employee matters, escalations, and risk-based decisions with accuracy, attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
