Description

Aduro Advisors is looking for bright and talented individuals to join our team working to support top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. The Associate People Operations Business Partner (Associate POBP) position will execute core HR processes to ensure smooth operational support throughout the employee lifecycle. The role requires proactive support in data analysis and policy application to help senior leaders implement talent initiatives effectively within their business units. The position fosters and maintains partnerships to deliver value-added service to Aduro leaders and employees.

The Associate People Operations Business Partner thrives on problem solving, knowing that people very rarely fit into a one-size fits all plan. This person always strives to understand the “end user” of each experience and plans with that in mind, anticipating questions before they are asked, and creating tools for success. 


Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Manages and completes employee processes within their assigned business units, including leave management, performance improvement plans, and onboarding and offboarding.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, helping to triage and resolve basic employee relations issues, and ensuring consistent application of company policies.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
  • Conducts monthly and ad-hoc meetings with respective business unit leaders, building strategic partnership through providing data insights, supporting business objectives, assessing talent management needs, and more as needed by BU leaders.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the People Operations Team to develop strategic solutions, programs and policies.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business unit leaders independently and  with support from the Senior Manager of People Operations as needed (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • In partnership with the People Operations team, supports (with opportunities to lead) cyclical people ops processes, such as performance reviews, compensation, bonuses, open enrollment, reporting, compliance, and others.
  • Provides People Ops policy guidance and interpretation to leaders and employees.
  • Maintain and update People Operations documentation, including policies, employee handbook, process documents, and intranet.

The salary for the Associate People Operations Business Partner role will range from $70,000 - $85,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. This role will be in the office 1 – 2 times a week in our Denver office.

Requirements
  • 3-5 year of progressive experience working to support multiple people operations/HR initiatives across the organization.
  • Experience supporting multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to match communication format, tone, and content to the situation
  • A customer service mentality and drive to treat employees well
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • An interest in business goals and key metrics
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
