The Role
We are seeking experienced professionals with expertise in AI-enabled workforce planning, predictive analytics, workforce intelligence, enterprise architecture, data science, AI governance and strategic workforce transformation to support a significant Australian Government initiative exploring the future of workforce planning across the Australian Public Service (APS). This opportunity will focus on assessing and shaping an AI-enabled Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) solution capable of delivering advanced workforce insights across a large and complex government environment. The role will contribute to the development of a shared workforce planning capability designed to support workforce forecasting, skills identification, talent mobility, reskilling pathways and workforce risk management through the application of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. Working closely with senior stakeholders, workforce planning practitioners, HR specialists, data professionals and technology teams, you will help evaluate and develop innovative approaches that support evidence-based workforce decision-making and future workforce readiness.
Key Responsibilities
About You
You are an experienced workforce planning, AI, data, analytics or digital transformation professional with the ability to translate complex workforce challenges into practical, data-driven solutions. You have experience working with enterprise datasets, predictive analytics, AI-enabled technologies or workforce transformation initiatives and are comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You understand the importance of responsible AI, effective governance and data quality, and can contribute to workforce planning outcomes that support future capability, organisational resilience and strategic decision-making.
