You will act as a trusted advisor to Operations and Finance leaders, translating forecasts and operational drivers into clear workforce strategies and actionable capacity plans. While this role does not focus on building statistical forecasting models from scratch, you will be technically capable of maintaining, improving, and automating planning tools and data workflows that support decision-making.
This position requires strong business acumen, stakeholder influence, and the ability to connect operational strategy with data-driven workforce planning.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Own end-to-end workforce demand and capacity planning for key operational functions
    • Translate business strategy, operational drivers, and financial targets into robust workforce plans
    • Partner closely with Operations and Finance leaders to support budgeting, hiring plans, and investment decisions
    • Provide scenario modelling and “what-if” analyses to support tactical and strategic decision-making
    • Monitor capacity assumptions, productivity drivers, and workforce risks, proactively identifying mitigation actions
    • Ensure planning outputs are clearly communicated, actionable, and aligned across stakeholders
    • Maintain, improve, and automate internal workforce planning tools and reporting solutions
    • Use SQL and basic Python/R to validate data, optimise workflows, and ensure planning tools remain scalable and reliable
    • Collaborate with Data, Forecasting, and Automation teams to continuously improve planning methodologies
    • Present workforce insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders (Managers, Heads, Directors)
    • Drive continuous improvement of workforce planning processes and governance

WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business, or a related field
    • Strong experience in workforce planning, capacity planning, or operational strategy
    • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, scenario modelling)
    • Proficient in SQL/BigQuery for data extraction and validation
    • Working knowledge of Python or R to maintain and improve planning tools and automate processes
    • Strong understanding of capacity planning methodologies and operational performance drivers
    • Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
    • Familiarity with Workforce Management systems (e.g., Calabrio, NICE, Genesys) is a plus
    • Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in influencing senior stakeholders
    • Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational detail
    • Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented
