Join our newly formed team as one of two Workforce Planning Analysts, shaping the future of workforce planning across our Child, Youth & Family services.

Reporting to the National Manager, Workforce Planning & Rostering (Child, Youth & Family), you’ll ensure our people are in the right place at the right time to deliver outstanding care and support. You’ll work closely with local leadership and rostering teams to analyse workforce data, support roster reviews, update master rosters and provide insights that inform effective workforce planning and strategic staffing decisions.

As a core member of this new team, you’ll embed best-practice workforce planning, drive positive change and make a real impact on positive outcomes for children and young people we care for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with jurisdictional leaders to lead end-to-end workforce planning and roster review processes
  • Coach and support employees and leaders to effectively apply workforce planning and roster review practices.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to improve workforce planning outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on the industrial, financial, and operational impacts of proposed roster changes.
  • Analyse and report on key workforce planning metrics for State leadership teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive outcomes for children, young people, and staff.
  • Coordinate communication with stakeholders regarding major roster changes, issues, and complaints.

 Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in business or human resource management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in workforce planning within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
  • Skilled in rostering systems and tools (ideally UKG Pro), including developing master rosters and reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and present clear, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems, and provide practical advice on roster and workforce matters.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and any relevant stated based checks.
