As Vice President Global Talent Acquisition, you will be a key strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and senior leadership across Western Union. You will lead the transformation and scaling of our global Talent Acquisition (TA) function, driving innovation, operational excellence, and a data-informed approach to recruitment. With oversight of a global team of ~50 professionals and a significant budget, you will shape the future of how Western Union attracts, engages, and hires top talent worldwide.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CPO and executive leadership, co-leading strategic initiatives that elevate people processes across the enterprise.

  • Champion a forward-thinking, inclusive talent strategy that aligns with Western Union’s business goals and global footprint.

  • Collaborate with People COEs and business leaders to build workforce plans and talent pipelines that support long-term growth.

  • Educate and influence senior stakeholders on modern, data-driven recruiting practices and market trends.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring TA leaders to drive performance and innovation.

  • Partner cross-functionally to enhance employer branding, candidate attraction, and employee value proposition.

  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through intentional hiring strategies and team-building efforts.

  • Design and implement scalable, global recruitment strategies that address current and future talent needs.

  • Build and maintain high-quality, diverse candidate pipelines across all levels, with a focus on critical and senior roles.

  • Lead executive search efforts and support strategic hiring initiatives across business units.

  • Elevate the candidate experience through streamlined processes, personalized engagement, and consistent communication.

  • Strengthen Western Union’s visibility and reputation in key talent markets through strategic outreach and partnerships.

  • Drive operational excellence by refining recruitment processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making, measure performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure quality, speed, and service outcomes across the TA function.

  • Lead the evolution of recruitment operations to support a dynamic, global business environment.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including leadership roles in global, fast-paced environments.

  • Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and build new capabilities within a TA function while optimizing existing structures.

  • Deep expertise in global recruiting strategies, market intelligence, and industry best practices.

  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams and budgets with a focus on performance and engagement.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and data fluency; able to translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Demonstrated success in executive recruiting and strategic partnership with senior leadership.

  • Hands-on experience with high-volume hiring and niche talent searches across diverse functions and geographies.

  • Familiarity with onboarding programs and integration strategies for new hires at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative environment.

  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
