Reporting to the Talent and Training Manager, the Training & Engagement Specialist supports the HR department in the design, delivery, and monitoring of all activities related to employee training, development, employer branding and recognition programs.
The role plays a key part in shaping a motivating and learning-oriented workplace, driving service excellence and reinforcing the hotel’s and brand’s core values.

What you’ll do
Training & Development
- Design, deliver, and coordinate training programs in line with business needs, brand and Marriott standards at hotel level.
- Deliver in-person training sessions, including the preparation and use of PowerPoint presentations, supporting materials, and interactive tools.
- Implement training programs that focus on a variety of topics, including but not limited to brand culture, product knowledge, company philosophy, and customer service and leadership skills.
- Organize and deliver Orientation for new associates, ensuring an effective presentation aligned with Marriott and The Luxury Collection culture.
- Manage the hotel training calendar and ensure departmental participation.
- Manage, monitor, and track the completion of mandatory Marriott courses through dedicated platforms, ensuring full compliance across all departments.
- Develop and implement an organization-wide learning and development strategy.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor the impact of training programs, collect feedback, and use data to refine and improve offerings
- Periodically analyze the training needs of the various operational departments of the hotel.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in L&D in Marriott to bring innovative practices to the hotel.
Employee Recognition & Engagement
- Manager corporate events, recognition programs, and engagement activities (e.g., Employee of the Month, birthday celebrations, internal corporate communications).
- Organize and support Marriott programs dedicated to employee well-being and corporate social responsibility, planning activities and initiatives that encourage active participation and strengthen the sense of belonging.
- Prepare and support the creation of visual materials, presentations, flyers etc.
- Manage internal communication related to engagement and well-being initiatives, keeping employees informed and involved.
- Collaborate with other departments to organize corporate events and team engagement activities.
- Actively promote Marriott Development Programs and departmental cross-training, ensuring proper communication and visibility of learning opportunities to managers and associates.
Employer Branding & Social Media
- Support the development and execution of the employer branding strategy
- Create and manage engaging content for LinkedIn social media platform
- Collaborate with HR and Marketing to ensure brand consistency
- Capture photos, videos, and testimonials from employees and workplace activities
- Support recruitment campaigns through employer branding initiatives
- Monitor engagement, analyze performance metrics, and suggest improvements
- Act as a brand ambassador, reinforcing company values internally and externally
- Promote company culture, employee stories, training activities, and internal events
What you’ll need:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
- Excellent Presentation and Public Speaking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English languages.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
