 Role Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of recruiting experience, or seven or more years of recruiting experience. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. 
  • Ability to travel throughout Suffolk County and attend recruitment events, as needed. 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand vacancies, review job descriptions, and maintain accurate job postings. 
  • Source and screen candidates, verify qualifications, maintain candidate pipelines, and forward qualified candidates to hiring managers. 
  • Coordinate and conduct individual and group interviews, as appropriate, and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process. 
  • Extend job offers and communicate with candidates regarding next steps and pre-employment requirements. 
  • Coordinate the internal applicant process, including communicating with internal candidates, forwarding qualified applicants to hiring managers, and facilitating interviews and follow-up communication. 
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in the ATS/HRIS. 
  • Participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach activities to build relationships and expand recruitment opportunities. 
  • Promote the Agency’s mission, vision, and core values throughout recruitment activities in support of Becoming People’s Arc. 
  • Collaborate with program leadership and People Operations/People Experience to support staffing needs, new hire transitions, and employee engagement and retention initiatives. 
  • Track and report recruitment metrics, including vacancies, time to fill, and candidate activity, to the Director of Talent Acquisition. 
  • Follow established recruitment procedures and ensure compliance with applicable employment requirements and Agency policies.
