WE OFFER:

  • Compensation: $59,500 Annually Fixed Rate
  • Work Environment: Hybrid, onsite 2 days a week in Oklahoma City office

Job Description

As the Talent Development Supervisor, you’ll lead and support a regional team of Talent Development Specialists. You’ll ensure new staff orientation and ongoing training are delivered consistently and on time, while coaching your team to help employees at all levels grow their skills and advance their careers. This hands-on supervisory role also includes creating training materials, delivering sessions when needed, and making sure everything aligns with regulations and Dungarvin’s mission.

What You’ll Do:

  • Stay Informed: Maintain a thorough understanding of regulations, policies, and service philosophies related to employee training and development, ensuring all activities align with Dungarvin’s strategic goals.
  • Coordinate New Staff Orientation: Oversee the planning and execution of New Staff Orientation (NSO) and facilitate training and development for current staff.
  • Create Engaging Content: Develop and update training materials, manuals, and guides that resonate with our team members.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work with company-wide partners to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Monitor and assess the impact of training programs, using participant feedback to continually improve our offerings.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Oversee accurate records of training activities, certifications and timely billing (where applicable).
  • Lead and Mentor: Supervise the Talent Development staff, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities, including performance evaluations and support for growth.
  • Ensure Compliance: Keep instructor certifications current and aligned with training requirements and expiration dates.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in talent development, training, or a related field.
  • Developmental Disability Experience: Experience related to developmental disabilities, whether professional or personal.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with e-learning platforms and training software is a plus.
  • Physical requirements:  Instructors must demonstrate physical coordination and skill, which may include the ability to maintain balance while moving or being pushed or pulled. They must also be able to lower themselves into a half- squat position while keeping their back straight. 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Relevant Experience: Preference for candidates with experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a long-term health facility.
  • Must have or can become certified in required training programs not limited to CPR, CBRF - First Aid with choking, CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions, CPI Mandt and all other programs required by the state or Dungarvin.

SKILLS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS:

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team of trainers, fostering a positive and productive training environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to both trainers and trainees.
  • Training and Development Expertise: Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies to create effective training programs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various training technologies and platforms (e.g., Learning Management Systems, virtual training tools) to facilitate training delivery.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for identifying challenges in training processes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to provide guidance and support to trainers, helping them develop their skills and enhance their performance.
