As a Talent Development Specialist, you will play a key role in building a high-performance culture by designing, delivering, and embedding career and talent development initiatives. You will coach employees, support managers, drive awareness campaigns, and maintain competency frameworks while leveraging data, digital tools, and strategic partnerships to ensure development efforts are aligned with organisational needs.
In this role, you will:
- Regularly update and manage the talent development database, ensuring accuracy by adding new entries, removing outdated information, and promptly reflecting any changes to employee data.
- Support the rollout of career development efforts across the organisation by facilitating training sessions for managers and supervisors.
- Provide career coaching to employees, helping them identify strengths, clarify career aspirations, and create meaningful Individual Career Development Plans (ICDPs).
- Assess and guide teams on their talent development journeys, offering valuable insights and mentoring managers in implementing best practices for career development.
- Generate insights from talent development data to identify trends, measure programme impact, and recommend improvements.
- Foster strategic alliances with other HR functions to enhance talent development effectiveness, aligning efforts with broader organisational objectives.
- Maintain, update, and embed the organisation’s competency frameworks into HR processes such as performance management, hiring, and development planning.
- Contribute to the creation of the internal competencies assessments.
- Assist in designing an internal career counselling process to empower employees in identifying their strengths and interests, aiding them in setting meaningful career goals.
- Lead awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives (events, workshops, communication pieces, digital campaigns) to foster a culture of career development and continuous learning.
- Support the team with the coordination and administration of training courses and events by scheduling dates, advertising programs, creating joining instructions, booking venues, and organising required materials or equipment.
- Continuously explore innovative approaches to talent development, staying current with industry trends and implementing improvements through ongoing research and development.
- Provide ad hoc support to the HR team as required.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in HR, L&D, or coaching (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or coaching credentials) are an advantage
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in TD, L&D, or HR, is required.
- Strong project management experience, ideally with tools such as ClickUp or other project management platforms.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with strong data management and experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), ClickUp, and digital learning platforms.
- Knowledge of competency frameworks, career development methodologies, and talent management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills (workshops, awareness sessions, coaching conversations).
- Analytical skills to generate insights from talent data and translate them into recommendations.
- Project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Fluent in English. Arabic or other languages are a plus.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to anticipate needs and act with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail while balancing a strategic perspective.
- Confident and credible personality with the ability to build rapport and trust across all levels of the organisation.
- Growth mindset with openness to continuous learning and innovation.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of outcomes.
