Introduction

Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a Talent Partner Team Lead to take full ownership of their internal recruitment function.

This is a dual strategic and operational role for a hands-on leader. You will partner closely with the Head of HR to develop and drive recruitment strategy, manage budgets and operations, while leading, mentoring and coaching a high-performing team of Talent Partners. You will be the face of recruitment at leadership level and will personally drive critical executive and hard-to-fill technical searches, ensuring the talent pipeline directly aligns with the company's growth objectives.

This role offers real ownership of a team, a budget and a strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day recruitment operational function for the HR department
  • Manage the Talent Partner team, distributing workload for equitable, timeous delivery
  • Set and drive performance targets and manage 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Partner with the Head of HR to shape recruitment strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day recruitment budget
  • Personally recruit for senior, executive and hard-to-fill roles, and step in to unstick critical vacancies
  • Act as the escalation point for hiring managers and agencies
  • Track and report on recruiting KPIs, consolidating data into clear reporting for the Head of HR and leadership
  • Ensure recruitment practices stay compliant with EE, labour law and data protection requirements

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years’ recruitment experience, preferably recruiting for technical and professional roles
  • Preferably 2 to 3 years’ team lead work experience overseeing, coaching and managing a team of recruiters

Package & Remuneration

R 50 000 - R 75 000 CTC per month (depending on experience)
