Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist assists with the recruitment, screening, and selection of candidates in accordance with EEO regulations and procedures established by the Company and supports other Human Resources activities as needed.

  

Principal Accountabilities

1. Ensures that the Company attracts and retains a fully competent workforce by implementing recruiting, screening and selection programs which meet the needs of management and the objectives of the Company.

2. Understands unique needs of client-facing roles and possesses attributes to fully assess candidate’s ability to fulfill those needs.

3. Develops sources of recruitment to ensure a qualified supply and flow of applicants and presentation to management to meet present and future talent needs.

4. Communicates with potential candidates to maintain hiring robust pipeline for future personnel needs.

5. Coordinates placement of advertisements and proposes innovative applicant sourcing techniques. 

6. Attends job fairs when appropriate, building relationships with professors, department heads, and career center representatives at mission-aligned colleges and universities.

7. Serves as external liaison, researching and recommending appropriate mission-aligned organizations with which to partner and establishes mutually beneficial relationships to further company initiatives.

8. Assists with evaluating effectiveness, and makes process improvement recommendations for overall recruiting strategies, especially the applicant tracking systems to hone efficiencies of recruitment-related processes.

9. Assists with planning, organizing, and coordinating details and schedules in support of the Talent Acquisition team activities or programs, including such things as communications, registrations, set-up, etc. 

10. Orders and maintains appropriate inventory of Blue Trust “swag” items for recruiting events and assists with scheduling and booking career fairs and special events as assigned.

11. Maintains internal job posting site to ensure current employees receive full and equitable consideration.

12. Deploys appropriate correspondence to applicants and files applications of those no longer under consideration.

13. Arranges interviews between candidates and appropriate interviewers.

14. Coordinates travel arrangements for candidates as required. May travel to branch locations when needed.

15. Responsible for the candidate referencing process to ensure a credible selection of candidates.

16. Conducts pre-employment testing and provides feedback to the hiring manager.

17. Works with Human Resources Department to ensure all on-boarding activities are completed, including but not limited to I-9 processing. 

18. Works with the Talent Acquisition team and Director, Human Resources to make recommendations for offers of employment, and generates offers/offer letters in the HRIS system.

19. Provides coaching and advice to managers and employees as needed.

20. Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company’s Core Values.

21. Reviews and presents summary information for individual and team personality assessments.

22. Job Descriptions: Works with Managers to author, update, and maintain current position descriptions for all roles within the organization to ensure accuracy of information contained therein.

  • Submits current position descriptions to designated leaders on annual basis to ensure timely re-evaluation of descriptions
  • Works with stakeholders to edit, update, approve, and publish revised position descriptions 

23. Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the company's Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the company.

24. Supports the broader team with departmental support as needed which may include responding to requests through team email accounts, team event support, and project support.

25. Performs all other related duties as assigned or directed by management.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Human Resources or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ recruiting and/or administrative experience is strongly preferred with a minimum of 1 year human resources experience required.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and online recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn is preferred.
  • Prior experience recruiting at colleges and universities is a plus.
  • Some travel required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • The ideal candidate will have obtained or be in the process of earning the PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP designation.
