Description
Talent Acquisition & Early Careers
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, TVET colleges, agricultural colleges, schools and other educational institutions to identify emerging talent aligned with Dutoit Agri's current and future workforce needs.
- Develop and maintain young talent and graduate pipelines for critical, scarce and future skills within the organisation.
- Identify promising students, graduates and young professionals through campus engagement, career fairs, graduate programmes, industry events and other talent initiatives.
- Coordinate and support student placements, internships, work-integrated learning (WIL), learnerships, graduate programmes and apprenticeships in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with career offices, academic departments, lecturers and other institutional stakeholders to strengthen Dutoit's access to emerging talent.
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives that position Dutoit Agri as an employer of choice for young and emerging talent.
- Maintain an accurate database of prospective students, graduates and emerging talent for current and future opportunities.
- Work with managers to understand current and future critical skills requirements and align talent-pipeline initiatives accordingly.
- Support the selection and placement of suitable candidates into approved opportunities within the organisation.
- Monitor the progress, placement outcomes and development of students, interns, graduates and other participants entering Dutoit through early-career programmes.
- Prepare reports on talent pipelines, institutional partnerships, student placements, graduate programmes and early-career initiatives.
- Support recruitment activities where required, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks and pre-employment processes.
Learning & Development
- Coordinate annual and ongoing Training Needs Analyses with managers and employees.
- Assist with individual development plans and role-specific development plans.
- Coordinate internal and external training programmes from planning through to completion.
- Manage training schedules, logistics, attendance and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with training providers, SETA structures and relevant institutions.
- Support employee induction and onboarding programmes.
- Coordinate leadership, supervisory, technical and operational development initiatives.
- Support values, culture and employee development programmes.
- Coordinate learnerships, internships, graduate programmes, bursaries and apprenticeships where applicable.
- Monitor learner and employee progress and programme completion.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, attendance and manager input.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and reports.
Talent Management & Employee Development
- Support succession planning and internal talent identification.
- Assist with the development of talent pipelines and career development initiatives.
- Support managers in identifying employee development needs and practical development solutions.
- Follow up on agreed employee development actions.
- Contribute to employee retention and engagement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for internal mobility and career progression.
- Support the development of future leaders and critical skills within the organisation.
Skills Development, Employment Equity & Compliance
- Support the implementation of the organisation's Skills Development initiatives.
- Assist with Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) processes.
- Maintain accurate Skills Development records and supporting documentation.
- Support AgriSETA-related learning programmes and requirements.
- Monitor training information and provide accurate reports for HR and management.
- Coordinates Employment Equity planning and monitoring processes.
- Assist with the compilation and maintenance of Employment Equity plans and reports.
- Monitor progress against agreed Employment Equity targets.
- Support HR compliance with applicable labour and employment legislation.
- Ensure recruitment, employee and training information is handled confidentially and in accordance with POPIA.
- Maintain accurate records to support internal and statutory reporting
COMMUNITY & EMPLOYEE SUPPORT

REPORTING & ANALYTICS
You will be expected to turn HR information into meaningful insights.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly recruitment reports.
- Preparing learning and development reports.
- Monitoring recruitment and training trends.
- Maintaining accurate HR and training data.
- Tracking recruitment and learning KPIs.
- Identifying gaps and recommending practical corrective actions.
- Using Excel, HRIS and digital/AI tools to improve HR processes and reporting.
DIGITAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS
You should be comfortable working with:
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- HR Information Systems
- Recruitment platforms
- HR reporting and analytics
- Digital learning platforms
- AI-enabled HR and productivity tools
- Recruitment and talent database
The ability to use technology and AI tools to improve HR processes, reporting and employee experiences will be highly advantageous.
LEGISLATIVE KNOWLEDGE
A practical working knowledge of the following will be required:

- Skills Development Levies Act
- Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
Knowledge of B-BBEE Skills Development requirements will be advantageous
Profile
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Development, Organisational Development or a related field.
- Registration as a Psychometrist will be advantageous.
- Skills Development Facilitator, Assessor or Moderator qualification will be advantageous.
- Additional training in recruitment, interviewing, psychometric assessment administration or learning design will be advantageous.
Experience
-
3–5 years' relevant experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, Learning & Development or generalist HR.
- Practical experience coordinating learning and development programmes.
- Experience using HR information systems and recruitment platforms.
- Experience with HR reporting and data analysis.
- Experience working with training providers and/or SETAs will be advantageous.
- Exposure to agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, food production or other operational/multi-site environments will be advantageous.
