Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure a customer centric approach in the efficient and effective, hands-on, daily delivery of training and development goals aligned with organisational design and South African legislative requirements.
  • Design and implement training initiatives aligning with global standards to meet the South African requirements and work cross functionally, on all levels, to upskill the workforce and develop its people.
  • To drive and manage the sourcing and acquisition of top talent, meeting organizational workforce needs (including the Employment Equity Plan requirements), whilst ensuring a fair, efficient and compliant hiring process.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective design, implementation and delivery on all legislated, developmental and technical training requirements.
  • Manage a very operational role with no reportees.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs, including needs analysis, lesson planning, and content creation.
  • Design and implement a training plan aligned with the organisational design requirements and relevant South African
  • legislative requirements.
  • In particular the EE plan of the business.
  • Deliver classroom-based and virtual training across branches and dealerships nationally.
  • Ensure good corporate governance regarding management and use of all external training service providers.
  • Ensure professional and effective service to customers and all cross functional activities and ability to communicate with global and local stakeholders to fully meet the required training outputs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations, training materials, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure effective administration and reporting on all matters relating to acquisition and training.
  • A good understanding of the Education Act, Skills development Act, Employment Equity Act and relevant regulations.
  • Obtain and maintain SD certification and co-ordinate all SETA grant submissions timeously to obtain benefit of required grants and skills development benefits.
  • Coordinate career development and career aspirations of Company into individual skills development actions plans and
  • pathways, also in terms of Company Performance and Management Processes

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field like human
resources, legal or education, along with strong experience in
talent acquisition and development.

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of South African transformational legislature and overview of South African governmental policy on education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point Presentations, Learning Management Systems and E-learning platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Human Resources procedures and relevant legislation (BCEA, EEA, etc)
  • Excellent collaboration skills in a matrix organisation

  • Experience working with SDF and relevant SETA

  • Bi-lingual (Afrikaans and English)
  • 8-10 years’ Exposure to practice effective communication skills internal and external
  • 8-10 years ‘Interactions and exposure in engaging with authority on snr levels
  • 8-10 years’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point Presentations, Learning Management Systems and E-learning platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, South African Government and Seta online portals
  • 8-10 years’ experience in a HR related role with focus on attraction and development
  • 5-8 years’ experience working in a multinational organisation
  • and or exposure to a matrix organisation
  • 5-8 years’ experience working in a changing and fast pase working environment
  • 2 years’ experience in working with Success factors
  • 2 years’ experience in working with Microsoft projects
  • 2 years’ knowledge of Human Resources Information System (preferable SAGE People 300) including Employee Self Service
