Sign Installer: FASTSIGNS of Findlay

Are you an experienced installer or skilled tradesperson who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems in the field, and seeing a project come together from start to finish? FASTSIGNS of Findlay is looking for an experienced Sign Installer to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on position responsible for the safe and professional installation of a wide variety of commercial signage. Our team installs most types of signs, including monument signs, pole-mounted signs, channel letters, dimensional signs, wall signs, vehicle graphics, and more.

This position is being advertised and screened by The HR Dept LLC on behalf of FASTSIGNS of Findlay.

What You'll Do

As a Sign Installer, you will work as part of the installation team to prepare sites and install signs accurately, safely, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Install a wide variety of interior and exterior commercial signs
• Install monument signs, including single-pole and double-pole mounted signs
• Prepare and set foundations for monument and pole-mounted signs
• Assist with excavation, concrete work, footers, anchors, and other foundation requirements
• Conduct or assist with required footer inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, site plans, measurements, and installation specifications
• Determine proper placement, dimensions, hardware, fasteners, and mounting methods based on project specifications
• Safely disconnect and connect electrical components associated with sign installation, within applicable licensing and safety requirements
• Install and secure electrical components, fasteners, brackets, anchors, and other sign hardware
• Operate ladders, lifts, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment necessary to complete installations
• Safely load, transport, unload, and handle signs, materials, tools, and equipment
• Inspect completed installations to ensure signs are level, secure, properly aligned, and installed according to specifications
• Identify and troubleshoot installation challenges and determine practical solutions in the field
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding installation requirements and jobsite conditions
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable building, electrical, and sign codes
• Perform other installation-related duties as needed

What We're Looking For

The ideal Sign Installer is an experienced, dependable professional who is comfortable working outdoors, operating tools and equipment, and taking pride in quality workmanship.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in sign installation, construction, electrical work, commercial installation, or a closely related skilled trade
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, site plans, measurements, and installation specifications
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, hardware, fasteners, anchors, and installation equipment
• Ability to install and secure signs accurately and safely
• Working knowledge of basic electrical connections and the ability to safely disconnect and connect electrical components
• Experience with concrete, foundations, footers, or similar site preparation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in the field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work from lifts and other elevated work platforms
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver signs, materials, and equipment
• Proficiency in relevant computer systems and software applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous commercial sign installation experience
• Experience installing monument signs and single- or double-pole signs
• Experience with concrete foundations, footer installation, excavation, or site preparation
• Electrical or low-voltage installation experience
• Experience operating bucket trucks, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, or similar equipment
• Sign fabrication or sign production experience
• Experience with vinyl graphics, vehicle graphics, dimensional lettering, or other sign products
• OSHA or other applicable safety training

Fabrication experience is a plus, but it is not required. This position is focused primarily on field installation rather than sign fabrication or manufacturing.

Our typical installations are 10–12 feet or less. This position does not involve high-rise sign installation.
