Position Overview The Senior Recruiter is responsible for building and sustaining a strong pipeline of skilled craft talent for Moss Utilities. This role partners closely with Superintendents, General Superintendents, and Operations leadership to understand project based workforce needs and deliver high quality field employees. The Senior Recruiter will lead full cycle recruiting for all hourly field positions while continuously improving processes, strengthening relationships with field leaders, and representing Moss Utilities and Moss Fuerte culture with professionalism and consistency.
Responsibilities Full Cycle Recruiting Source, screen, and hire for all hourly field positions including laborers, pipelayers, equipment operators, and foremen. Manage job postings across multiple platforms and ensure all roles remain updated and compliant. Conduct phone screens, coordinate tryouts, and support Superintendents in making final hiring decisions. Track candidate progress from application to orientation and ensure all pre hire requirements are complete.
Workforce Planning and Partnering with Operations Partner with Superintendents to identify weekly and upcoming project staffing needs. Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified field talent to support project startup and peak demands. Attend project update meetings and visit job sites to build strong relationships with field leaders. Serve as a trusted advisor to Superintendents by recommending hiring timelines, candidate profiles, and labor market insights.
Process Management and Reporting Maintain accurate applicant flow through the ATS, spreadsheets, and recruiting trackers. Ensure all hiring steps follow company policy including approvals, compensation guidelines, and documentation. Recommend improvements to recruiting workflows, tryout structure, and orientation readiness.
Branding and Community Outreach Represent Moss Utilities at job fairs, community events, trade schools, and workforce programs. Build relationships with vocational programs, high schools, and early talent pipelines.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 to 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction or skilled trades.
Strong understanding of craft roles such as laborers, pipelayers, operators, and foremen.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with Superintendents and field teams.
Bilingual English Spanish required.
Proficiency in ATS platforms and reporting tools.
