Role Summary and Impact
The Senior Manager/Director, People Operations, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations across the country. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, compliance, and efficiency while supporting business leaders and employees. The individual will lead HR service delivery, optimize people processes, and implement global HR systems in Malaysia. As a key strategic partner, this role will ensure HR operations are agile, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

What you will do:
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure seamless HR service delivery, aligning with Malaysia’s labor laws and global policies.
- Lead payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, and compliance audits.
Process Optimization & Governance
- Identify gaps in HR processes, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with global HR policies and local labour regulations.
Business Partnering & HR Service Delivery
- Collaborate with country leaders to address operational challenges and standardize HR workflows.
- Act as an employee advocate, ensuring fair and transparent HR practices.
HR Systems & Data Insights
- Act as the key contact for global HR system rollouts, ensuring adoption in Malaysia.
- Leverage HR analytics to monitor efficiency, compliance, and workforce trends.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Work closely with global HR teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to align HR service delivery.
Talent, Performance & Learning
- Oversee performance management, goal setting, and career development initiatives.
- Manage early talent development and employee learning programs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
- Maintain compliance with Malaysia’s regulatory frameworks.
What you will need:
- 10-12+ years of HR experience, with expertise in HR operations, compliance, and business partnering.
- Proven ability to lead HR functions and implement process improvements.
- Proven track record in HR leadership, with a focus on rebuilding functions and managing day-to-day operations.
- Strong project management skills with a knack for driving change and process improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysia’s employment laws and government directives.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching abilities.
- Proficiency in people analytics and reporting for informed decision-making.
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
