Role Objective

As the Senior/Group Manager of People Operations, you will be the custodian of our payroll integrity and statutory hygiene. You will lead the "Engine Room" of HR, ensuring that 2,500+ MediBuddy employees are paid accurately, our incentive structures drive performance, and our compliance record remains gold-standard for audits. You will also act as a strategic partner in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgeting and financial forecasting.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll & Compensation Excellence

  • End-to-End Payroll: Oversee the monthly payroll cycle for 2,500+ employees (Full-time, Contract, and Consultant models).

  • Incentive Management: Own the design, calculation, and timely payout of sales and departmental incentives.

  • Increment Cycles: Lead the execution of annual/mid-year appraisal payouts and salary revisions.

2. Statutory Compliance & Audits

  • Governance: Ensure 100% compliance across PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, and LWF.

  • Licensing: Manage and renew all local registrations, including the Shops & Establishment Act across multiple locations.

  • Audit Ownership: Lead internal and external HR audits. Act as the primary point of contact for labor inspectors and statutory auditors.

  • Insurance: Manage corporate group medical (GMC) and personal accident (GPA) insurance policies and claims.

3. Financial Planning & Analytics

  • AOP & Budgeting: Collaborate with Finance and HR Leadership to build the Annual Operating Plan for headcount costs.

  • Forecasting: Provide monthly variances and rolling forecasts for people-related expenses.

  • MIS & Reporting: Deliver high-impact HR dashboards, monthly MIS, and ad-hoc reports to the leadership team.

4. Team Leadership

  • Mentor and manage a team of 3–4 HR Ops professionals.

  • Drive process automation to reduce manual intervention in the payroll and compliance workflow.

 

 

Candidate Profile

Requirement

Experience

10–14 years of core HR Ops/Payroll experience.

Industry

Experience in high-growth Tech/Digital Health/Fintech or large-scale Retail is preferred.

Expertise

Deep knowledge of Indian Labor Laws and the latest payroll taxation norms.

Tools

Hands-on experience with HRMS, payroll systems and advanced Excel.

Education

MBA in HR or Finance, or equivalent professional certification.
