We have been retained by our client to recruit a Regional Human Resources Director Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
The Regional HRD originates and leads Human Resources activities and objectives to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Excellence in project management is required to meet global and local requirements with agility and efficiency whilst ensuring a full Employee Experience in line with the high standards required in the industry in which we compete.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Business partnering and Talent Development
- Be the point of contact in terms of Talent Development/Talent Acquisition/HR Business Partnering for each market in Asia Pacific
- Identify and monitor the organization’s culture so that it supports the attainment of the Brand’s goals and promotes employee satisfaction
- Recruit and attract local & regional talents
- Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices & procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
- Coordinate talent mobility actively
- In partnership with the Group and the Division, co-establish training and people development programs that address Brand training needs, including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, leadership development, specific training related to critical expertise we need at local/regional level
- In partnership with the Group and the Divison, leads the implementation of performance management systems that includes performance development plans and employee development programs
- Support talent development initiatives and oversee the implementation of specific HR programs through HR local/regional teams
- Ensure synergies and cross-collaboration between the markets, and share HR best practices regionally when relevant
Organization Development and Design
- Be the point of contact in terms of Organization Design and Development for each market, and ensure strategic guidance and business partnering
- Make Organization Design recommendations to the Senior Management in line with the Brand direction
- Ensure a regional consistency in terms of Retail and Digital capabilities and organization, and leverage the level of expertise regionally
- Define and manage a 360 process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management
- Lead a process of organization development that plans, communicates, and integrates the results of strategic planning throughout the organization
- Direct a process of organizational planning that evaluates company structure, job design, and personnel forecasting throughout the company.
HR Budget
- Monitor the staffing costs with each local HR team and participate in R1/R2/Budget meetings
- Develop and monitor the HR KPIs that support the accomplishment of Brand’s strategic goals
- Conduct a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments
HR Employee Relations
- Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
- Conduct audits and, if needed, investigation regarding any Ethics & Compliance issues that might happen, in close collaboration with local HR Team
HR Compensation & Benefits
- In partnership with Brand and regional C&B, oversee the ICR process
- In partnership with each Brand and regional C&B, lead competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain a superior workforce
- Recommends changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- This position requires a minimum of 10 years of HR experience in corporate or in a key region with international exposure.
- Broad knowledge and experience in organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, compensation, recruitment, training and development.
- Relatable industry experience is required, Cosmetics and other Beauty segments are strongly preferred.
- Ability to create a vision and define strategy for future growth in light of existing short-term opportunities as well as developing new longer-term potential.
- Ability to serve as a successful participant on the senior management team that provides company leadership and direction. A people leader who can inspire, motivate and energize the organization.
- Experience working in a large, matrix, global organization strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial and creative environment.
- Experience in navigating effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural environment.
