Summary:

The Regional Director, Employee Engagement is responsible for leading and coordinating Employee Engagement efforts across an assigned region, ensuring consistent deployment of OneDigital’s financial education and advice strategy. This role focuses on managing people, systems, processes, and assignments so that Employee Engagement educators are equipped, aligned, and effective in delivering participant education and generating high-quality Wealth referrals. This role may directly oversee a team of Employee Engagement educators or lead through influence across geographies, using clear frameworks, shared materials, and consistent operating practices. This role works closely with both Retirement and Wealth leaders and serves as a key partner in positioning, executing, and reporting of our financial education and advice offering with plan sponsors, advisors and leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

Employee Engagement Strategy & Deployment

· Deploy the national financial education and advice strategy within the assigned

region, ensuring alignment with national frameworks while supporting appropriate regional execution.

· Coordinate education efforts across the region, including delivery by Employee

Engagement educators, Wealth Advisors, Financial Planning specialists, and other qualified partners, based on client needs and engagement model.

· Provide guidance on the use of national education materials while supporting the development and deployment of region-specific content when needed; ensure consistent messaging and effective adoption across delivery teams.

Participant Education & Sponsor Engagement

· Support the design and delivery of participant education focused on retirement plans, financial wellness, and broader financial decision-making.

· Partner with Retirement and Wealth teams to position our financial education and advice offering with plan sponsors as an employee benefit that supports

workforce financial confidence and outcomes.

· Provide oversight and coordination to ensure education delivery is professional, compliant, and aligned with sponsor expectations.

Participant Support & Advisor Connection

· Ensure our offerings and education programs help identify participants who would benefit from additional, individualized financial guidance beyond group education or general plan information.

· Support appropriate connections between participants and Wealth Advisors or financial planning resources as a continuation of the employee benefit experience.

· Partner with Wealth teams to maintain clarity around roles, expectations, and participant experience throughout the connection process ensuring alignment with the established national standards.

· Monitor and report on regional financial education and advice activity, including participant education engagement within plans and participant follow-on connections to individualized financial guidance, to support visibility, continuous improvement, and alignment with regional and national objectives.

People Leadership & Team Coordination

· Provide direct leadership and coaching to Employee Engagement educators, Wealth Advisors, Financial Planning specialists, and other qualified partners where applicable and coordinate activity across regional delivery partners through influence and shared standards.

· Establish clear expectations for coverage, collaboration, and consistency across the region.

National Connectivity & Continuous Improvement

· Maintain strong alignment with the national teams responsible for our financial education and advice initiatives, staying current on strategy updates, evolving materials, and emerging priorities.

· Contribute regional feedback, insights, and best practices to inform national updates, pilots, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

· Strong working knowledge of retirement plan fundamentals, including plan design, eligibility, contributions, vesting, distributions, loans, and rollovers.

· Solid understanding of ERISA regulations, fiduciary responsibilities, and best practices related to participant education and plan sponsor engagement.

· Foundational understanding of financial wellness and financial planning concepts, including budgeting, debt management, emergency savings, and the role of investments in long-term financial security.

· Experience designing, delivering, or supporting training or educational programs form adult learners, including group presentations and facilitated discussions.

· Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible education for diverse participant audiences.

· Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting alongside sales, advisory, or client service teams.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate people, processes, and materials across multiple offices or stakeholders.

· Ability to lead through direct management and/or influence, depending on organizational structure.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); CRM discipline required (Salesforce preferred).

· Ability to operate in an evolving environment where national standards are developing and local execution must remain effective.

· Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Education, Training and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Education, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

· 7+ years of experience in financial education, retirement plan services, financial wellness, or a related field.

· Prior experience supporting or leading training initiatives, education programs, or multi-office coordination strongly preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $115,000 to $125,000 per year.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
