A leading pharmaceutical company has a 6 month contract position for a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with hiring managers in manufacturing, production, quality assurance, engineering, and operations to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and develop detailed position profiles (including GMP, safety, and technical competencies).
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: from requisition approval through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Utilize multiple channels including LinkedIn, job boards, etc.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews, focusing on relevant manufacturing experience, GMP knowledge, regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and shift-work readiness.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, technical assessments, and site tours at manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labor laws, equal opportunity regulations, data privacy (GDPR/POPIA where applicable), and internal pharmaceutical policies.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical manufacturing roles, including contingency planning for high-volume or seasonal hiring.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to improve candidate experience and reduce attrition in factory roles.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with at least 2 years specifically recruiting for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or life sciences manufacturing/factory environments
