👋 Meet The Guru

Resource Guru is a blissfully simple scheduling tool that helps busy teams stay on track.

We boost efficiency, improve resource utilisation, and increase project profitability - while promoting a healthy work/life balance.

We’re proud to be one of the leaders in our category, trusted by customers in over 100 countries - including top creative agencies like Publicis, TBWA, Grey, BBH, and M&C Saatchi, as well as household names like NASA, Accenture, CNN, Kraft Heinz, and the NHS. They rely on Resource Guru to manage one of their most valuable assets - their people’s time.

We’re a small, fully remote team based across the UK and Europe. We collaborate mainly via Slack, with occasional meetups to connect, plan, and celebrate. See if this is the right place for you.

⭐️ The Role

This is a hybrid role, combining people operations with recruitment. You will therefore need to be skilled and interested in both. You will play a critical role in shaping our most important asset - our people!

You will be responsible for all aspects of people operations, including, but not limited to, overseeing onboarding, performance, and development, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and planning our annual company retreat (Guru Gathering).

You will be our in-house recruiter. Sourcing highly effective talent, lowering recruitment costs, and maintaining the high bar that we’ve set. We anticipate hiring will account for ~10-20% of the role.

🤝 What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day could include (not an exhaustive list):

Hiring & Onboarding

  • Manage the recruitment workflow from end to end. Including defining job specs, defining salaries, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, managing offers/rejections etc

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Promote team engagement and wellbeing. Including cultivating our remote culture and fostering healthy remote working practices

  • Facilitate feedback cycles (e.g. surveys, 1:1s)
  • Organise seasonal and milestone celebrations (e.g. Christmas gifts, anniversaries)

Performance & Development

  • Support performance review processes
  • Track development goals and learning initiatives
  • Recommend training or coaching resources

Policies & Compliance

  • Maintain employee handbook and HR policies
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws - liaising with external professionals when required
  • Manage visa or right-to-work documentation

HR Admin & Systems

  • Own the HRIS (HiBob)
  • Manage time off, sick leave, and benefits
  • Handle contracts, changes in terms, references, etc.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Liaise with finance/payroll providers
  • Administer employee benefits and budgets (training/conference/coworking budgets etc.)
