As a People Operations Systems Lead, you will be the architect behind Epidemic Sound's HR tech ecosystem, owning the systems, automation strategy, analytics, reporting and data foundation that power our People & Culture function. Your role is to transform manual processes into scalable, automated workflows and put people data at the heart of every decision.

By building connected systems and intelligent automation, you directly scale the impact of our People Operations team and enable the business to move faster. You will report to the Director of People Operations and work closely with colleagues across P&C, IT, and the broader business. This is a hands-on builder role.

Your key responsibilities include:

Operating with an AI-first mindset, you will leverage AI, agents and technical logic to:

  • Own the HRIS and the broader HR tech ecosystem, serving as the primary system owner and superuser to ensure all platforms are connected and data flows with minimal manual intervention.

  • Continuously optimize, automate and scale People Operations processes, identifying and executing automation opportunities surfaced by stakeholders or through system insights.

  • Execute manual updates and administrative tasks, while simultaneously building the technical architecture for long-term scalability.

  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate new tools and methods to ensure the P&C tech stack remains innovative, compliant, and scalable.

  • Ensure data integrity across all people systems, architecting the logic for accuracy, consistency, and strict compliance with internal policies.

  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks and real-time dashboards to manage regular reporting and ad hoc data requests, providing stakeholders with strategic people insights.

  • Document system configurations and automation logic, ensuring all integration mappings and data flows are clearly mapped for continuity and future development.

  • Innovate and refine by testing new tools and AI solutions, ensuring systems and processes evolve alongside technological trends and operational needs.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a relevant field such as HR, IT, Finance, or Business Operations.

  • Experience owning or administering an HRIS. We currently use BambooHR.

  • Understanding of how HR systems and data insights should serve the business, not just the HR function.

  • A strong technical foundation with a genuine builder mindset. You are highly comfortable with data, including advanced Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience building automations, managing system integrations, and working with workflow and process tools.

  • Ability to work autonomously, solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity, and take full accountability for systems and processes.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and agents, and curiosity about how they can be applied to people operations.

It would also be music to our ears if you have

  • Experience with people analytics, building self-service dashboards, and translating data into insights that inform leadership decisions.
