About this role

As a key member of the HR team in Sofia, you will navigate between both the strategic partnering and the operational excellence of our workforce. Reporting to the HROps Regional Lead, you will collaborate with international stakeholders to deliver a seamless employee experience (couriers and staff).

In this role, you’ll balance high-level functional strategy with the hands-on management of the HR team. We are looking for someone who embodies our value to care, ensuring our teams are supported through robust policies and efficient administration. Your focus on teamwork to deliver will be essential as we scale our local operations.

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Lead and coordinate the HR team, helping one another to succeed.
  • Coach local managers on HR topics like performance management and engagement.
  • Aim high by analyzing operational data to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in HR procedures.
  • Drive excellence by ensuring all administrative processes meet strict service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Support and lead courier case investigations, acting as a responsible employer.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Recruitment, and Local Operations (among others) to align processes with business needs.
  • Proactively work to minimize people's risk and ensure duty of care across all policies.
  • Leverage people's data to influence decision-making and improve service delivery.
  • Manage and develop team members to reach their full potential and hit key KPIs.
     

What will you bring to the team?

  • Strong experience in HR partnering and operations within a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people while staying committed to achieving goals.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to use analytics to aim higher and drive people outcomes.
  • A problem-solving approach that simplifies complex issues into effective solutions.
  • Good stakeholder management skills to navigate a matrix organization, and various departments.
  • Care for the employee experience by understanding the needs of our couriers and partners.
  • Strong understanding of local Bulgarian labor legislation and legal frameworks.
  • Ability to act responsibly while managing multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills in English.
  • Affinity for working with HR systems and tools such as Google Suite, Salesforce or Workday.
