Job Description

The People Operations Manager will oversee all HR functions across 10+ locations. This individual plays a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and supporting staff to deliver exceptional service and achieve company objectives. By combining operational expertise with a commitment to health and wellness, the HR Manager fosters a culture of collaboration, growth, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, Onboarding, & Retention

    • Lead and manage full-cycle recruiting for all locations, ensuring positions are filled with qualified candidates in a timely manner.

    • Oversee and continuously improve the onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration and compliance for new hires.

    • Maintain accurate staffing levels in collaboration with location leadership, including per diem staff as needed.

    • Conduct reference checks, facilitate employment agreements, and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

    • Support employee retention through proactive engagement, performance management, and recognition programs.

  • HR Operations & Compliance

    • Maintain and update personnel records, HRIS, and all employee documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

    • Administer employee benefits, coordinate payroll, and manage leave processes.

    • Ensure company policies and employee handbook remain current and are communicated to all staff.

    • Advise management and employees on HR policies, performance issues, and conflict resolution.

    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and employment standards at all locations.

  • Culture & Employee Relations

    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture aligned with our mission and values.

    • Organize and support staff development initiatives, ongoing training, and continued education opportunities.

    • Address employee concerns with care, facilitating timely and effective resolution.

    • Promote wellness and work-life balance through company programs.

  • HR Strategy & Communication

    • Serve as the HR subject matter expert and point of contact for all staff and management.

    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support organizational growth and innovation.

    • Communicate HR updates, changes, and initiatives clearly across all locations.

    • Support strategic initiatives in partnership with the owner and leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of HR experience, ideally in a multi-location environment.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple locations.

  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to recruit for clinical, wellness, and administrative roles.

  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices for multi-site operations.

  • Tech-savvy, with experience using HRIS and digital onboarding tools.
