The People Operations Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining efficient people systems across the organization. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, culture initiatives, and performance management—ensuring the client attracts, engages, and retains top talent.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong passion for structure, systems, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hiring & Recruitment Operations
- Manage and improve end-to-end hiring processes across all departments.
- Maintain organized hiring pipelines, role scorecards, and candidate databases.
- Collaborate with recruitment partners to ensure timely and aligned hiring.
- Build and document a recruitment playbook for consistency and efficiency.
2. Onboarding & Offboarding
- Refine the onboarding process to deliver a smooth and impactful experience for new hires.
- Ensure all new team members receive the right tools, information, and support during their first week.
- Manage offboarding and exit interviews to collect feedback and identify improvement areas.
3. Process Automation & Systems
- Build a centralized hub for internal SOPs, policies, and employee resources.
- Automate repetitive workflows including offer letters, surveys, and performance tracking.
- Support the implementation and usage of HR systems and tools (e.g. Notion, Deel, Gusto).
4. Employee Experience & Culture
- Lead internal communications and team-wide updates.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, team bonding activities, and regular feedback loops.
- Organize virtual check-ins, town halls, and culture-building events.
5. Performance & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, role documentation, and performance agreements.
- Work with managers to conduct timely and effective performance reviews.
- Monitor team structure and alignment, recommending improvements where needed.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or Talent Management, preferably in a startup or high-growth tech environment.
- Strong experience designing and scaling HR systems and recruitment operations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with a bias for action.
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for clarity and documentation.
- Familiarity with HR tech tools is a plus (e.g. Notion, Deel, Gusto, etc.).

Compensation: ₦8m Base + Performance Bonus.
