Zoox is looking for an intern to support employee lifecycle transactions and talent practices on the People Experience (HR) team. The intern will gain knowledge of HR processes by supporting day to day activity, contributing to process improvements and participating in projects, which will also provide foundational knowledge of HR management and develop lasting skills relevant to the HR profession.
In this Role, You Will...
Support day-to-day employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, data changes, and offboarding by maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems and ensuring timely completion of transactions.
Assist in reviewing and improving People team workflows and documentation to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
Contribute to special projects across the People Experience team—such as process audits, data reporting, or supporting the day-to-day crew experience —to gain exposure to core HR functions and best practices.
Identify and document future business processes, including potential gaps and areas for optimization in existing processes
Qualifications & Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (human resources, organizational development, business administration, communications, sociology, psychology, etc.)
Strong interest in human resources
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and proactive about recognizing issues and finding viable solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
Experience working with Excel, Microsoft Office, or Google Suite
Experience working in a customer service oriented/administrative experience
Knowledge or v-lookups and other elevated Microsoft excel skills
Knowledge of HRIS or ticketing systems
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
