People Operations Specialist (Part-Time) - Onboarding & Recruiting

Greenville, SC (Hybrid - Office and Home)

Part-Time (20-25 hours/week, flexible with schedule) with full-time potential

Position Summary

The People Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting Eastern's People Ops team by ensuring smooth and effective onboarding, recruiting, and HR processes. This position helps deliver a positive experience for both new hires and hiring managers by coordinating onboarding activities, managing candidate communications, and maintaining accurate records. In addition, the role provides People Ops support through project assistance, reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding Support

Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, ensuring smooth Day 1 experiences. Prepare onboarding materials. Facilitate completion of new hire paperwork and compliance requirements. Support hiring managers with communication to set up their new team members for success.

Recruiting Support

Post job openings to internal and external job boards. Screen candidate applications and may conduct initial phone interviews. Coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers. Support candidate communication throughout the process to create positive candidate experience. Assist in maintaining accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

General People Ops Support

Assist with HR projects, reports, and analytics as time permits. Partner with the People Ops Business Partners to support branch-level needs.

Provide feedback on process improvements and technology enhancements.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or graduate - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; senior-level student preferred. Strong interest in HR/People Operations and desire to pursue a full-time career in the field. Excellent organizational, communication, and people skills.
