We are seeking a dynamic People Operations Director to lead and administer all aspects of People Operations for our center employees. Reporting to the Executive Director, this pivotal role ensures compliance with organizational, regulatory, and governmental standards while fostering a culture of inclusion, servant leadership, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner: Analyze and review all available data creating long-term plans and priorities while managing day-to-day operations.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and maintain People Operations procedures; ensure alignment with standards and communicate policies effectively.
  • Employee Relations: Advise on corrective actions, terminations, and legal matters with a focus on ethics and risk management.
  • HR Administration: Oversee salary, benefits, workers’ compensation, and regulatory compliance; maintain accurate employee records.
  • Workforce Planning: Forecast talent needs and implement recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Culture Building: Promote inclusion and servant leadership through organizational initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop People Operations staff.
  • Data & Reporting: Track and report key HR metrics for stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets and labor cost strategies to meet organizational goals.

 

About TCV:

Devereux TCV Community Services provides programs and services for adults, children, and adolescents. Located in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Region, this position is primarily responsible for administering and managing employee benefits and leave of absence policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, as a People Operations Generalist, you will serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources strongly preferred. HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in People Operations or HR leadership, with behavioral healthcare, human services, nonprofit or educational setting experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous Supervisory experience required.
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulatory requirements, in areas including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and OSHA.
  • Requires proficiency in the use of a sophisticated HR/Payroll Information System.
Skills: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, and an ability to independently follow up as required. Requires an ability to be flexible and an ability to adjust priorities as needed.

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, stand, and occasionally lift. Normal hearing and vision required. Occasional driving for business purposes.
