People Operations
We’re seeking an HR Generalist in Mexico City to own day-to-day people operations for our current Mexico EOR workers and future Mexico employees. This role is the primary on-the-ground partner for onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and the initial intake/triage of employee relations (ER) matters. You’ll administer Mexico benefits, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support the HR workstream required to stand up and scale our Mexico legal entity.

How you'll add value:

    • People Operations & Employee Lifecycle: Coordinate end-to-end onboarding (pre-hire documentation, background checks as applicable, HRIS setup, orientation) and offboarding (notifications, exit interviews, asset recovery, HRIS updates); execute lifecycle changes (promotions, transfers, salary changes, leave requests) and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files; partner with managers to ensure timely, high-quality employee experience touchpoints (probation reviews, performance cycles, goal setting).
    • Employee Relations (ER): Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns; log issues, gather facts, and escalate appropriately to HR leadership/legal; coach managers on policy interpretation and consistent practices; help draft documentation (warnings, PIPs) aligned with local requirements.
    • Benefits & Payroll Coordination: Administer Mexico benefits programs (enrollment, changes, employee communications) and liaise with brokers/providers to resolve issues; coordinate with Payroll/Finance and external partners on monthly payroll inputs (new hires, changes, leaves, terminations) and validate outputs; support annual/seasonal processes (e.g., year-end adjustments, bonuses, vacation accruals) and ensure statutory benefits are properly administered.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Maintain compliant HR documentation and processes aligned to Mexico labor regulations and company policies; prepare routine HR metrics and ad-hoc reports (headcount, turnover, leave, demographics) and support audits as needed; track and implement policy updates; deliver trainings and employee communications for Mexico.
    • Entity Setup & Growth Enablement: Assist with the HR requirements for establishing and scaling our Mexico entity (e.g., policy localization, benefits benchmarking, vendor selection, process design); help evaluate and onboard local HR vendors (payroll, benefits, immigration counsel) and drive continuous improvement.
    • Culture & Engagement: Champion an inclusive, values-driven culture; support recognition, engagement surveys, and onsite events.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

    • 4-7 years of progressive HR Generalist / People Operations experience supporting employees in Mexico.
    • Fluent Spanish and professional English, written and verbal; able to localize policies and communications.
    • Strong working knowledge of Mexico HR practices and employee lifecycle processes.
    • Experience with HRIS (Workday a plus) and collaboration and AI tools; strong Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills to support reporting.
    • Sound judgement, discretion, and a calm, service-oriented approach; capable of handling sensitive matters and balancing employee and business needs.
    • Ability to work onsite and support a hybrid or in-person work culture.
