Summary:
As a key member of MicroVision's People Operations team, you will work closely with employees and managers to meet and exceed the needs of the business. This is an integral role on the People Operations team, responsible for supporting the employee life cycle through HR administration, benefits, engagement and system management. We are in search of a true generalist, who can leverage their experience across all facets of People Operations to support the day-to-day functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with employees and managers to deliver a high-level of customer service; respond to all employee questions and needs in a timely manner
- Maintain HRIS system with attention to detail and accuracy
- Liaison with payroll and IT for employee data changes
- Manage, update and maintain People Ops workflow, documentation and processes
- Perform benefits administration, including change reporting, reconciling invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
- Administer leaves of absence
- Manage the immigration process and documentation in partnership with legal counsel
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
- Participate and assist with coordination of Safety Team, Safety Meetings, and other safety related items
- Assist with coordination of events, programs and trainings for employees
- Conduct new hire orientations, onboarding, offboarding and other employee engagement activities as needed
- Partner with recruiting to conduct position matching and leveling within our compensation program; assist in maintaining compensation program
- Partner with Germany People Operations team to ensure consistency across locations
- Operate with a high level of confidentiality
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Self-motivated and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of employees in a professional manner
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Experience conducting Human Resources activities for a technology focused company
- Experience managing employee benefit programs
- Start-up experience preferred
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS preferred
MicroVision offers a flexible work schedule that could include a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote work, subject to team and business needs. Individual work schedules will be at the discretion of management and dependent on role and business needs. You must live and reside within commuting distance from MicroVision’s office in Orlando, FL.
