People Operations Fellow

LaunchGood is actively looking for a People Operations Fellow (contract)

Open to candidates based in the UK, and willing to work EST hours.

LaunchGood is a global crowdfunding platform to support Muslims launching good across the world by helping them raise funds for their campaigns. We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic People Operations Specialist to join our team who will be responsible for shaping our company's culture, enhancing employee experience, and driving HR initiatives that align with our business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in HR operations, employee relations, and compliance within the tech industry. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication are essential for success.

Deliverables

• Hiring and Recruiting: Support the entire recruitment process alongside other People Operation teammates. This would require strong communication and interview skills to ensure a successful hiring journey.
• Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee branding, development, and off-boarding.
• Talent Acquisition and Headhunting: Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to attract, recruit, and retain top talent
• Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on employee relations issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
• Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Develop, update, and enforce company policies and procedures
• HR Systems & Analytics: Manage HR systems and analyze HR metrics to provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement
• Compensation & Benefits: Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards
• Learning & Development: Partner with the L&D team to identify training needs and create development programs to support employee growth
• HR Projects: Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee engagement

Requirements

• Must be flexible to work Eastern Standard Hours (New York Timezone).
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR/People Operations
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overtime
• Experience in managing HR functions in a global or multi-location setting, understanding cultural differences and international HR practices
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team with a bias for action
