What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the execution of people operations initiatives, implementing internal processes and systems effectively.
  • Provide end-to-end support for recruitment and onboarding functions, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for new hires.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in people data management via the HRIS.
  • Maintain high-functioning office facilities and ensure seamless day-to-day administration.
  • Manage the timely availability of office supplies, employee tools, and logistics needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to maintain service levels and ensure employee experience is prioritized.
  • Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives through planning and coordination.
  • Partner with finance and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
  • Oversee employee asset management, including insurance administration and maintenance.
  • Act as a strong ambassador of AltSchool’s culture and values.


Must Have

  • 2–3+ years of relevant experience in People Operations and/or Administration.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience using HRIS and working with data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, preferably gained in a support-oriented environment.
  • Experience managing vendors and external service providers.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A proactive mindset and problem-solving orientation.
  • Strong coordination and event planning abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of employee wellness and engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with workplace compliance and regulatory processes.
