What you can expect as our People Operations Coordinator

Under the direction of the Director of HRIS and Operations, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the People Operations department. You will provide essential administrative and operational support across a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee support, office management, and internal communications.You are detail-oriented, proactive, and service-minded, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Compliance & recordkeeping, including management of CORI background checks for new hires and current employees

  • Support of new hire onboarding process

  • Manage and maintain People Operations’ billing and invoicing 

  • Maintain kitchen and common office spaces for employees

  • First point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR processes, policies, and systems. Communicate with visitors and volunteers 

  • Monitor and respond to department’s telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner

  • Support internal communications initiatives in collaboration with the Communications team.

  • Help organize and provide logistical support for People Operations-led events such as training, staff recognition activities, and culture-building events.

  • Assist Perkins Volunteer Services as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.   

  • 1+ years of administrative, HR, or office operations experience preferred; 

  • Strong organizational skills - pays close attention to detail

  • Self motivated and team oriented

  • Able to handle confidential information

  • Must be customer service focused - excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with technology skills in an office environment, including Google Suite and HR systems (Workday experience is a plus)

  • Hybrid work model with minimum 3 days on site.
