What You Get To Do:

  • Manage time, attendance, absenteeism, errors, and timecard processing.
  • Validate and submit agency employee timecards.
  • Track employee time off and leaves of absence.
  • Track work injuries, collect FAFs, and create modified work agreements.
  • Answer payroll questions and resolve errors.
  • Handle onboarding, system access, and HRIS/Timesheet data entry.
  • Assist with recruitment from screening and interviewing to employment agreements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new employee inquiries.
  • Track probationary employee reviews.
  • Manage hourly uniforms, vendor relations, ordering, and recalls.
  • Update employee records (status, shift, pay, position, policies).
  • Update training records via HRIS.
  • Draft staff contract amendments.
  • Perform inspections and handle JHSC meetings and documentation.
  • Maintain plant safety boards, PPE, and First Aid inventories.
  • Compile data and generate HR reports (hiring, turnover, costs, absenteeism).
  • Conduct file compliance and document collection audits.
  • Handle confidential employee matters, grievances, reviews, and disciplinary records.
  • Manage off-boarding, property collection, exit interviews, and ROE requests.
  • Plan events, order office supplies, and manage administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–2 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, HR administration, and payroll (preferred).
  • Background in industrial manufacturing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety protocols.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms (asset).
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices (preferred).
  • Ability to work from an office inside a manufacturing facility.
