Location: In-person in Lincolnwood, 4 days per week)

About Us:

Ravenswood Studio and Luci are closely integrated, independently operating companies that share ownership
and shared services. Luci is a creative design studio focused on concept, storytelling, and experience design.

design with world-class fabrication and execution.

Role Summary:

The People Operations Associate is a hands-on, detail-oriented partner to the Director of People Operations,
supporting the day-to-day execution of people programs across Ravenswood Studio and Luci. This role is
central to keeping HR operations running smoothly — maintaining accurate systems, supporting employees at
every stage of their journey, and helping build the infrastructure that both businesses rely on.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional who wants to develop breadth across all areas
of People Ops — from HRIS and benefits to recruiting and employee engagement — in a fast-moving, creative
environment. We're scrappy and building. Success in this role looks like executing the fundamentals with care,
earning trust across both organizations, and growing alongside a People Ops function that's still taking shape.

Key Areas of Focus:

HRIS & Payroll Operations:

• Maintain and update employee records in Paycom, including new hires, terminations, status changes,
and compensation updates.

• Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate deductions, benefit elections, and timekeeping data.
• Assist with Paycom configuration and workflow improvements as directed by the Director of People
Operations.

• Generate standard reports and help maintain data integrity across the system.

Benefits & Leave Administration:

• Coordinate day-to-day benefits administration including enrollments, qualifying life events, and open
enrollment support.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee benefits questions, escalating complex issues to the
Director or broker as needed.
• Assist with workers' compensation, leave of absence, and unemployment claim documentation and
tracking.
• Support vendor relationships with benefits brokers and insurance carriers.

Talent Acquisition Support:

• Assist with drafting job descriptions, posting open roles, screening applicants, and coordinating
interview scheduling.

• Support a positive candidate experience from first contact through offer.

•Help maintain recruiting documentation and ensure consistent, equitable hiring practices.

Onboarding & Offboarding:

• Execute pre-employment tasks including background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire paperwork.

• Coordinate onboarding logistics and help new employees get set up with systems, tools, and
information.

• Support offboarding processes including documentation, system access removal, and final pay
coordination.

Employee Experience & Engagement:

• Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and milestone celebrations.

• Serve as an approachable, trusted resource for employees with questions about HR policies, benefits,
or processes.

• Maintain the shared HR folder on the network drive and ensure employees have access to current
policies and resources.

HR Operations & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate digital personnel files and ensure documentation standards are met.

• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws through accurate record-keeping
and timely filings.

• Assist the Director with policy updates, handbook maintenance, and HR program rollouts.

• Contribute to a culture rooted in respect, trust, teamwork, accountability, and purpose.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of HR experience, with exposure to HRIS, benefits, and/or recruiting.

• Working knowledge of HR best practices and federal, state, and local employment laws.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support employees at all levels.

• Proficiency with HRIS systems; Paycom experience a plus.

Preferred:

• PHR certification or active pursuit of certification.

• Experience in a multi-entity or shared services environment.

• Comfort working in a fast-moving, creative, or production-oriented organization.
