Position Overview 


As a People Operations Assistant, you'll be the operational backbone supporting the People Ops team. Your work will ensure seamless daily HR operations, accurate employee data management, and engaging employee experiences—all while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.


Job Duties


1. Administrative & Employee Support

  • Serve as a liaison and first point of contact for employee questions related to People Ops functions.
  • Provide front-desk support and administrative tasks assigned by Sr. People Operations Partner when needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, snacks, and beverages to ensure a well-stocked and welcoming workplace.

2. Onboarding, Orientation & Lifecycle Events

  • Support the new-hire process by preparing paperwork, coordinating orientation logistics, and completing onboarding checklists.
  • Facilitate employment verifications, phone interviews, and maintenance of employment-related documents.
  • Schedule  60-and 90-day check-ins for new hires with Sr. People Partner and Managers to support engagement and retention.

3. Recruiting

  • Review resumes and identify top candidates for further consideration.
  • Move qualified applicants to the next stage of the recruitment process in the ATS.
  • Conduct mini phone interviews to assess initial candidate fit.
  • Schedule interviews with Sr People Partner and managers 
  • Coordinate second interviews with the Director when required.
  • Track candidate progress and maintain organized recruitment records.

4. Benefits, Payroll & Compliance Support

  • Assist with open enrollment coordination or basic benefits inquiries.
  • Support Time Clock tasks—such as scheduling employees, timesheet data, or generating reports.
  • Help ensure compliance with employment regulations and assist with audits when required.

5. Event Coordination & Employee Engagement

  • Assist in planning employee events, engagement activities, and recognition programs, managing logistics from setup to teardown.
  • Support communication efforts—creating materials via tools like PowerPoint or Canva.

6. Special Projects & Process Improvement

  • Support continuous process improvements and special People Ops initiatives—like onboarding enhancements or documentation practices.


Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1 or more years in HR, administrative support, or office operations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Canva/communication tools a plus.


Core Competencies:

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Discretion handling confidential information.

Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment.


Working Hours & Hours of Operation

Bruceton, TN:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break

This position requires occasional travel to the Milan location.
