As the first People Ops team member you will own core HR functions — from onboarding, policies, and compliance to performance, engagement, and scaling best practices. As an early hire, you’ll partner closely with the founders and leadership team to build Reflection into a world-class place to work.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement foundational People Ops processes (onboarding, performance reviews, compensation, benefits, compliance).

  • Build and own Reflection’s HR infrastructure (systems, tools, documentation, policies).

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, removing friction and making Reflection a top place to work.

  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the team, balancing designing a workplace that creates a world-class environment for builders.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in People Ops / HR, ideally including time at a high-growth startup (Seed to Series C).

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing HR programs and policies at scale.

  • Experience building and running core HR processes (onboarding, performance, compensation, engagement).

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; trusted by employees and leadership alike.

  • Bias toward action with an owner mentality you thrive in ambiguity and can balance strategic and tactical work.

  • Experience working with technical teams and researchers in AI companies.
