The Role:
The HR & People Experience function is responsible for providing strategic Human Resources support to the business units via a Business Partnering model. It supports the local implementation and application of HR policy and strategy and represent the needs of respective business functions to the HR centres of excellence, providing dedicated functional support across a wide range of HR practices. Additionally the function is responsible for the development and delivery of the Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, Employee Experience, Onboarding & HRIS Strategies to ensure it is appropriately aligning and integrating these across HR and Transaction Services to facilitate the delivery of UÉ’s objectives
The People Experience team partner with the Senior HR Management to align on objectives, and develop and manage the Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, Employee Experience, Onboarding, HRIS strategies and Workforce Planning. The team acts as trusted strategic advisors and subject matter experts to the Senior HR Leadership team in these areas. The team work closely with our partners in HRTS to ensure that strategies are operationalised successfully and that the HRIS system is utilised to its full capability. They are also responsible for KPI development and measurement and are responsible for the management and distribution of all people analytics to the business.
Reporting to the People Experience Technical Manager, the People Experience Technical Lead is responsible for implementing and supporting initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and satisfaction. The role holder collaborates closely with HR teams, managers, and employees to create a supportive and inclusive work environment and to ensure the best people and culture practices are implemented across the organisation.
Main Duties and Reponsibilities:
- Support the delivery and implementation of strategic projects and people focused initiatives that have been identified as key enablers to the People and Safety strategy
- Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and analyse feedback to identify trends, areas of improvement and employee satisfaction levels
- Where required lead the planning and execution of core employee engagement events and recognition programmes
- Input into internal communication strategies and channels to ensure employees are informed and engaged on the Uisce Éireann People Strategy, and are aware of policies, programs, and initiatives
Contribute to the improvement of People Experience processes and systems to enhance the overall employee experience - Coordinate and monitor directorate level engagement action plans by tracking delivery against commitments and supporting teams where appropriate to maintain momentum and drive meaningful improvement
- Lead the effective management and operation of the Employee Engagement Forum, ensuring strong employee voice, clear action ownership, and timely followt hrough on agreed actions
- Monitor employee well-being metrics, and utilise data driven insights to propose or improve people experience strategies, processes and initiatives to ensure they remain current, evidence based and responsive to organisational priorities and workforce needs
- Collaborate with recruitment, onboarding and talent teams to assess and enhance the new joiner experience, based off feedback and evolving organisational needs
- Collaborate with benefit providers and wellness vendors to offer comprehensive well-being resources, programs, and services
- Input to the development of an enduring Sports and Social Strategy that fosters connection, wellbeing and sense of community across the organisation
- Act as an advisor on people experience related matters, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts or issues
- Assist in the coordination of employee training and development programmes
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the People Experience Technical Manager
- Other duties as required.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to, Leadership, Talent Teams, Business Partners and Human Resources.
- Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
- Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience in the area of People Experience, HR or Organisation Development.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a People Experience, HR, or organisational development role, with responsibility for organisation wide initiatives and events.
- Proven ability to design and deliver people experience initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
Experience in designing, administering and delivering people experience surveys (e.g., engagement surveys), analysing results and presenting findings to stakeholders to drive informed decision‑making. - Strong track record in delivering large organisational events that enhance employee connection and engagement, while managing complex, multistakeholder planning, logistics, and on the day execution.
- Experience in leading end‑to‑end wellbeing initiatives, from concept development and delivery to impact reporting and communication.
- Experience with HR Data and excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and propose and implement solutions at a senior level.
- A proven track record in leadership, change & transformation experience ideally in a similar utility, regulated industry or multistakeholder environment.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others. - Experience of supporting policies, systems and controls and driving the implementation of progressive policies.
