As the People & Culture Coordinator, Talent Acquisition, you will focus primarily on recruitment and onboarding, while also providing coordination and administrative support across the broader People & Culture (Human Resources) team.

What You'll Do:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Build and maintain a pipeline of talent by leading proactive talent searches, building external partnerships, networking, and creative sourcing strategies
- Support hiring managers with interview coordination, documentation, and offer letters
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring completion of required documentation and system setup
- Lead orientation sessions and support the integration of new hires into the organization
- Engage new hires with check-ins during the onboarding process and report any feedback to the hiring manager and Senior Manager, People & Culture
- Support the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews
- Maintain recruitment records and metrics to ensure compliance with all legislation (QAM, ESA, etc.)
- Participate in workforce planning meetings to efficiently utilize all labour resources, anticipate hiring needs and support staffing levels, and advise on the ability to meet workforce demands through increases or decreases to staffing complement
People & Culture Coordination and Support
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files in our HRIS (UKG)
- Provide administrative support for HR programs including benefits, leaves, and employee data updates.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation as needed.
- Assist with People & Culture projects, employee engagement initiatives, and data audits.
- Assist in compiling HR metrics and reports for management review.
What You Bring:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or related field. CHRP or RPR designations would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of full-cycle high-volume recruitment experience (4-6 requisitions at any time)
- 1-2 years experiences as a Human Resources Coordinator or Assistant is preferred
- HR Compliance: Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation (OHSA, WSIA, AODA). Experience working with QAM or in the Disability Sector would be an asset
- Time Management: Self-motivated and the ability to be flexible to meet Agency needs and project deadlines
- Attention to Detail: excellent attention to detail is required
- Organizational Skills: Rygiel relies on our team to be very organized and efficient in their approach to solving problems and implementing solutions
- Must be familiar with HRIS and ATS. Experience with UKG is an asset
- Bilingualism in French is an asset
- A successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check and 2-Step TB Test will be required from the successful candidate
Additional Job Requirements:
This position is an on-site position, working out of our main office at 220 Cranbrook, Hamilton ON.
This position involves regular hours with some flexibility for coordination of interviews and onboarding. Various physical actions of mobility are required – i.e. driving, minimal lifting, standing, walking, reaching and bending. Moderate to maximum eye motion, wrist and digit motions, with significant concentration, memory, and focus required throughout the work day.
