About the opportunity

Join us as a People and Culture Junior Advisor at our Moran Head Office and become part of a passionate, supportive team committed to making a real impact.

As a People and Culture Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering partnership with the Moran homes, working hand-in-hand with managers, employees, and the Senior People and Culture Advisor. You will be assisting the delivery of People and Culture projects and programs onsite, including injury management and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

  • Providing general advice to managers and employees regarding regulatory compliance, workplace conditions, Enterprise Agreements, and contractual matters.
  • Providing guidance to managers and employees in relation to MHCG People and Culture policies, programs and best practices.
  • Providing assistance to managers in respect of employee performance improvement / management and assist in drafting and preparing letters of performance improvement, performance management and terminations.
  • Administration and general day-to-day generalist Human Resources advice.
  • Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions.
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection process including advertising of roles, initial culling of applications, telephone, or face to face interviews and reference checks.
  • Processing new employee placements, onboarding and complete employee paperwork ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Issue letters and contracts of employment.
  • Assist in the delivery of People and Culture initiatives
  • HR reporting, WHS, HR systems

About You  

  • Currently enrolled in Tertiary qualification including Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent practical experience
  • Customer focused with a positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Tech savvy with Microsoft Office Suite skills and HRIS systems
  • Well organised and attention to detail
  • Open ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and ability to drive to sites if required
  • Current influenza vaccination and Covid vaccinations as per Government direction
