ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting directly to the Manager of People and Culture, you will serve as a trusted partner to leaders across the School. In this end-to-end generalist role, you will drive key HR initiatives, guide employee relations, coordinate talent acquisition, and foster a safe, high-performing workplace aligned with legislative requirements and our Anglican values.

The role focuses on:

  • Provide practical HR advice to leaders and employees on employment conditions, performance, conduct and workplace matters.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support compliance with employment legislation, the Enterprise Agreement, Awards and School policies.
  • Administer HR systems, including ELMO, and maintain accurate employee data and records.
  • Contribute to People & Culture initiatives, projects and continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships across the School community and promote a positive employee experience.
  • Promote the wellbeing, safety, and cultural safety of children and young people, in accordance with Queensland Child Safe Standards and the School’s Child Safe policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to and upholding the School’s Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for Anglican Schools and Education & Care Services.

Skills And Experiences

​​​​​​ABOUT YOU: 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Relevant formal degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Broad generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, initiative and sound judgement when handling confidential information
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and HR information systems, with strong digital literacy.
