Role Summary: The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager/Senior Manager role focuses on attracting, sourcing, andhiring top talent, with a growing emphasis on long-term workforce planning, employerbranding, and strategic partnership with hiring managers. To focus on executing the hiringprocess and leading a team, focusing on high-level strategic planning, driving business growththrough talent, and optimizing the overall talent acquisition function.

 

Role responsibilities: 

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned withbusiness goals and manpower planning.
  • Recruitment Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end hiring, from sourcing andscreening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, providing guidanceand setting performance goals.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, define job requirements, and manage the interview process.
  • Sourcing & Branding: Develop innovative sourcing channels (e.g., social, referrals, headhunting) and enhance employer branding.
  • Data & Compliance: Analyze recruitment metrics (cost-per-hire, time-to-fill) to improveprocesses and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Vendor Management: Manage partnerships with external recruiting agencies andheadhunters.
  • Campus Hiring: Manage partnerships with educational institutes and arrange campus hiring on time with a proper plan.
  • Walk-ins: Lead the drive, identifying correct spots and organizing the interviews.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • MBA / MHRM / MSW / MLW (mandatory). A diploma in Labour Laws is preferred.
  • 10-18 years of total experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, or the heavy engineering industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Talent Acquisition and managing a team.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep technical knowledge of HR processes, especially Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Compensation Management, Sourcin,g and Hiring.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership, resource management, and conflict resolution skills—ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • ISO & Compliance: Thorough knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmentalstandards, and the ability to ensure statutory and classification compliance.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, using Job Portals, and using Social Platforms
