DescriptionJob Purpose
As a manager within PICG Mashreq Pakistan, your role revolves around managing all staffing, onboarding and related HRMS activities at Mashreq Bank Pakistan.
Key Result Areas
- Coordinate with stake holders to define the staffing requirements and develop candidate job description and specifications for the open positions.
- Develop plans for staffing the positions with the Hiring Manager.
- Assess all open positions and hiring requests against the approved budget and headcount.
- Work with hiring managers to create appropriate JD for each approved role.
- Work with the relevant team for Job Evaluation
- Upon successful Job Evaluation, post the role to seek most relevant profiles.
- Attract appropriate candidates for the position through the network of recruitment agencies/ advertisements / other sources.
- Evaluate new recruitment markets / new agencies for attracting talent.
- Conduct interviews and assessment centers in order to shortlist candidates for the open positions.
- Recommend grade / salary for the new recruits.
- Maintain market information about the positions handled.
- Responsible for onboarding of all new hires
- Conducting New staff orientation/induction
- Responsible for HRMS entry as well as data management of the new hires
- Develop contract terms for new hires and transfers and provide input on HR policies to support our organizational objectives.
- Review all onboarding related MIS / data requests.
- Responsible for confirmation of all new hires
- Maintenance of critical hiring status
- Maintenance of hiring tracker
- Creation and updating of employee files from onboarding till confirmation
- Build positive relationships with all stakeholders within local and group level teams.
- Ensure excellent onboarding journey for candidates as well as hiring managers.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies, providing guidance on labor laws, disciplinary processes, and HR policy interpretation.
- Facilitate communication with middle management, updating them on PICG transformation initiatives and projects, and collaborate with PICG teams to develop solutions and policies.
- Ensure adherence to policy and be guided by the people manuals across locations. Support line managers in the job evaluation process (documentation and coordination).
- Ensuring timely intimation to the EE team on employee addition and related activities/data (HRMS record creation parameters, joining salary/JB, notice period buyout etc.)
- Support Head of PICG – MB Pakistan in all Employer Branding activities
- Support Head of PICG and coordinate with EE team on all Talent Development initiatives (employee engagement, succession planning and L&D)
Problem Solving
- Operates within the defined policies and procedures.
- Required to respond on all onboarding queries from employees across MB Pakistan
- Provide solutions to employees and line managers with regards to related policy matters, identify solutions within the approved policy & process guidelines.
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
- Works under limited supervision from Head PICG MB Pakistan but in a defined environment.
- Independently manage specific divisions on onboarding matters end to end.
- Handling confidential sensitive issues and liaise with hiring managers.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in any field is required.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources at both operational and strategic level.
- Strong interpersonal skills, influencing, high level of negotiation ability.
- Knowledge of banking business/financial services industry is a distinct advantage.
- Highly customer focused, as it demands in the service industry.
- Leadership skills, experience in working with matrixed organization.
- Sound knowledge of all areas of HR with experience of international practices is preferred.
