Job Summary

  • The Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA), plays a pivotal role in Ventra’s growth by effectively sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier talent technology & data department and Service Delivery leadership positions. The Assistant Manager, TA will support the Talent Acquisition team in all aspects from job requisition to candidate onboarding. The Manager, TA will collaborate closely with hiring managers, HR partners, and candidates to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process. 

Essential Functions and Tasks

Job Requisition Management: 

  • Execute comprehensive TA strategies to identify and attract top for technology & data and Service Delivery leadership positions. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and qualifications. 
  • Ensure job requisitions are posted on various job boards and Ventra career pages. 
  • Review and approve job descriptions for accuracy and compliance with Ventra guidelines. 

Candidate Sourcing: 

  • Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and colleague referrals, to attract qualified candidates. 
  • Conduct initial resume screening and pre-qualify candidates to ensure they meet the job requirements. 

Interview Coordination: 

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels. 
  • Prepare interview packages, including candidate resumes, interview questions, and assessment tools. 

Candidate Assessment: 

  • Administer and score candidate assessments as needed. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidate performance in interviews and assessments. 

Candidate Engagement: 

  • Maintain regular communication with candidates, keeping them informed of their status throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by addressing candidate inquiries and concerns. 

Offer and Onboarding Support: 

  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of job offers. 
  • Coordinate the pre-employment screening process, reference checks, and new hire paperwork. 

Reporting and Automation: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). 
  • Generate and present weekly reports and metrics to the leadership team.  
  • Identity opportunities for process improvement and automation with the recruitment lifecycle. 

Compliance and Documentation: 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to inform TA strategies and best practices. 
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations in TA practices. 
  • Maintain thorough and organized TA documentation. 

Team Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to share the best practices, contribute to process improvement, and provide backup support as needed. 

New Hire Onboarding: 

  • Coordinate onboarding process and provide a comprehensive introduction to the company, policies, and culture. 
  • Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new colleagues.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Seven to nine (7-9) years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or HR, with a focus on TA for technology/data and Service Delivery leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and hiring top technical talent in a fast-paced organization.
  • Deep understanding of technology and IT concepts, terminology, and skill sets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Well-versed in employment laws and regulations. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition. 
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies. 
  • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner. 
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. 
  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner. 
  • Basic touch 10 key skills. 
  • Basic Math skills.    
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures. 
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills. 

Compensation

  • Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. 
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
