Talent Retention & Development

Position Summary

Why Join our Team?

At Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, we empower our people to push boundaries, innovate, and thrive. Our People Team is a strategic driver of business growth, creating an environment where talent can grow, deliver impact, and shape the future.
You’ll be part of our Talent Management & Development team, which drives all things talent, performance, and learning across the business. We create innovative, commercially impactful solutions that accelerate careers and build the skills needed for the future.
As a Talent Development Partner, you’ll shape, commission, and evaluate learning experiences that address critical business needs—particularly in areas such as AI adoption, sales, marketing, and digital transformation.
This role is primarily about designing, commissioning, and managing solutions at scale, not delivering training. While there may be some light facilitation, your focus will be on partnering with external providers, applying instructional design expertise, and ensuring our learning strategy translates into meaningful outcomes for the business.

Role and Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and commissioning of business-relevant learning programmes—from needs analysis to programme evaluation—across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and cross-functional skills.

  • Source, brief, and manage external learning partners and vendors to co-develop and deliver best-in-class solutions, ensuring alignment with Samsung’s capability and business goals.

  • Co-create learning solutions in partnership with business stakeholders, HR Business Partners, People Experience team and Employee Reference Groups, embedding learning within the employee experience.

  • Apply instructional design and learning science principles to shape content and formats that deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Leverage digital and AI-powered tools to enhance learning accessibility, engagement, and long-term retention.

  • Ensure each commissioned programme has clear KPIs and impact metrics; collect and analyse feedback and business performance data to inform strategy and iteration.

  • Champion and drive a culture of continuous learning through community-building, social learning initiatives, and knowledge-sharing forums.

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Established experience in Learning & Development, with a strong focus on instructional design, learning programme creation, or L&D consultancy.

  • Experience working in or with commercial functions (e.g., sales, marketing, product) to design relevant, high-impact learning experiences.

  • Proven ability to commission, co-create, and manage external learning providers—including writing effective briefs and assessing solution quality.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, learning evaluation approaches, and modern adult learning theory.

  • Proficiency in using LMS platforms and digital learning tools, including AI-powered learning technologies.

  • Project management capability to plan and manage multiple learning initiatives and stakeholder inputs simultaneously.

  • A passion for data-driven learning: ability to assess needs, define KPIs, and measure outcomes that link to business performance.

Join us to shape the future of learning and development at Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland. Your expertise in designing and commissioning innovative learning solutions will help us build a capable, motivated workforce ready to lead in a dynamic and fast-changing world.
