About Us:
KPMG Jamaica's delivery center, Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS), is dedicated to providing exceptional back-office support to KPMG United States. Our team members collaborate with Client’s stakeholders to enhance back-office operations, ensuring service excellence, quality, and efficiency.


Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Officer to join our JESS People & Culture team. This role offers a unique opportunity for students to gain professional experience, develop new skills, and explore a potential career path in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and organize approximately 840 employee files in alphabetical order, separating past and current employees.
  • ​Assist in coordinating the removal of cabinets to a secured location.
  • ​Digitize physical files by scanning essential documents and uploading them to People HR.
  • ​Create and maintain a comprehensive log of uploaded files and note any outstanding documents.
  • ​Maintain a record of physical files retained in storage.
  • ​Assist with tasks related to the secure handling and organization of employee records.
  • ​Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Confidentiality & Data Protection:

  • Uphold strict confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive employee information.
  • ​Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and privacy policies.
  • ​Properly label and store all documents.

Education & Experience:

  • Proof of enrollment in a university or Grade 13/sixth-form program.
  • ​Little to no experience required.
  • ​Highly organized in a high-volume work environment.
  • ​Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • ​Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to a multi-cultural environment.
  • ​Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Administrative Support: Efficiently perform administrative activities and procedures.
  • Data Gathering and Analysis: Collect and synthesize information objectively to support decision-making.
  • Interpersonal Relations: Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.

  • Hybrid work environment: some days in the office and some days remotely, based on business needs.
    Fast-paced team environment.
  • ​Work with physical files and in a paperless environment using information systems.
  • ​May require extended hours periodically or on public holidays, based on business needs.
